Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?
Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.
A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?
Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.
Annnndddd... let the gushing begin: Love. Love. LOVE! I just absolutely, wholeheartedly adored this book!!! This quickly moved to the top of my Contemporary list... my favorite contemp... maybe ever! And I have to admit, it was probably better as an audiobook. The voices, as well as the way Casey performed it, was just spot on. I loved it, literally LOVED it, from the first minute. With it being a shorter audiobook too at just over 5 hours, it was the perfect length and kept me entertained throughout.
Now why is it that I never end up sitting next to a cute British boy on my flights? Well, lucky girl Hadley did, and that was exactly what she needed to help get through that terrible flight. On top of her trepidation regarding her father's wedding to a complete stranger she's never met, she's also claustrophobic. Not a good mix. But luckily good ole Ollie will be there to help her get through the flight.
Besides our MC Hadley being totally lovable and the classic teenager by every sense of the word (and from Connecticut, no less!! ;)) the supporting characters were equally incredible. The accents and personalities that Casey portrayed in the performance of this book definitely made it even more entertaining than it would otherwise have been. I was driving down the road laughing hysterically at times, tears running down my cheeks. I almost wish it was longer because when I got to the end I was quite disappointed that it was over in what seemed like such a short time.
This entire story takes place in a 24-hour period. Each chapter starts with a time, which I thought was perfect. It's fast paced, dramatic, enjoyable, and just all out amazing! I loved every second of the audiobook and I'm so happy I chose to download it. I would definitely, 100 percent, wholeheartedly recommend this book to everyone. Literally everyone! I can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this, especially the audiobook. Download it today! I promise, you will love it.
